Memorial Day - Honoring Those Who Served Our Country
In observance of Memorial Day this past Monday, I want to take a moment to honor the men and women who have served our country both during times of war and peacetime. Later this year, we will celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. The freedom we have experienced throughout our history was made possible because of so many who gave the ultimate sacrifice.
Soldiers assigned to the 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment, known as "The Old Guard," placing flags at over 260,000 headstones and niche columns across Arlington National Cemetery, Virginia.
